Vinoteka App Reviews

Stunningly beautiful

It takes some reading to get it right, and a weekend to get the hang of it, but after that, you are hooked, constantly admiring the shelves in your cellar. You can finally rearrange tour wine without disturbing it! Absolutely worth the money, especially in combination with the Mac application.

Avoid...

The database is incomplete, out of 90 wines scanned, less than 10 matches, and everything needs to be entered manually. Cannot compete versus vivino or cellar tracker, especially given the price paid...

Sos

Synchro non fonctionnelle sur iPhone.

Good idea, but very poor service

Its a nice approach to a wine cellar app, and with some significant improvements could be great. Yet since 2014 they havent managed to get the sync function between Mac and iPhone/iPad back to work, and the support is highly unresponsive. Given the high prices, this is close to fraud.

Don"t buy

This software lacks an intuitive interface. It froze five minutes after downloading. Unusable. Save your money.

Good, not extraordinary

Certainly not the best software its possible to make. Although works well with iPad and Mac. If you dont have a Mac, this iPhone and iPad app wont impress you. Problem is, there is no extraordinary software for managing cellars... A lot of place for improvement, but still pretty useful if you have a Mac.

Ok

Acceptable database Has most wines I tried (through wine-place database) Scanning barcode doesnt work (I am in Canada) but it is a small issue as I can easily find wines with one or two keywords no cloud sync (I am not going to sink manually its 2013 bro) so you really can use it on a single device. Limited stats section Still the best I could find so far

Waste of money

Tried it, didnt recognize liberty school, then tried jlhor, then beringer knights valley .... Dont waste your money ....

Please correct the many problems

When are you going to get this app right? Every time it gets updated I think its going to work to its full potential, but I am constantly let down. With the latest update, I cant even search my cellar because the search bar is stuck above the top of the screen. I cant even search image labels anymore!! This app has so much potential but is constantly letting me down.

This WAS a great ap

This company takes way too long reaching out to its customers. Ive loved the software and love What it had to offer but havent been able to use my new version for six months. The principles dont reach out to the customers and keep them abreast. Ive moved on to Vivino, a better wine database ap but far less superior in the cellar capabilities. Shame shame

Terrible customer support

Vinoteka was a great app but incompatible with the new OSX. They promised a fix by Dec 21 2015 but no recent announcement of why the delay and when to expect it. Worst, they dont even respond to questions like this from customers.

Great Apps for iOS and OSX, Lousy Stability

Theyve built a new version of these applications and that was a welcome upgrade, unfortunately they broke the synchronization between my iPad and iMac. If they could only stabilize this software it would be outstanding!

v3.0 breaks synchronization

Further to my initial review the iOS App and Desktop have worked great for managing my wine cellar however, the long needed update that is v3.0 BREAKS THE SYNCHRONIZATION between the desktop and mobile app. A further disappointment is that support has not responded to my requests for assistance. Forced to revert to backups!!

No synchronization and no help.

Im relieved to see that others are having problems synchronizing their computer to their device, I thought it was just me. I have sent Vinoteka many requests for help and they have all gone unanswered, which is poor service especially if its affecting everybody. I hope people arent buying the app just to find out it doesnt work.

This Developer Needs QA Assistance

I really like Vinoteka, however it has been crippled by updates where the database wont synchronize between iOS and OSX. Id love to see someone inject capital into this app so they could hire some QA staff and stabilize new releases. Maybe they should pitch it to Wine Spectator, or Robert Parkers Wine Advocate.

Nice, but unuseful

Does not work, no support

sync… the updates

Well, I upgraded on Mac but they announce version 2 for iPad/iPhone… but here is still version 1.6.7… Now I have Vinoteka on Mac that does not sync with iPad/iPhone! Knock knock, is it matter of few hours for version 2? On web site you have this as a piece of news… Thanks.

Also this update dont work youll lose all the wines in your database!

I update also to this new update trusting what written in the update that vinoteka finally makes the corrections to his app but again i lost all my 1347 wines!! Please Apple remove Vinoteka from your Appstore its an unfair condut and unrespectale of costumers that buy the apps from your appstore Regards

Sadly Terrible. Time to Bail Out.

I thoroughly enjoyed this app back in the day. How times change, though. The developer has gone silent, has stopped updating the app and no longer responds to requests for support. After more than a year of waiting, my entire wine cellar inventory is so out of date that it has to be abandoned, along with my paid-up license because there is no sync function with the Mac database. I recommend that we all vote with our feet and move over to the competition. It will take me as much time to update Vinoteka if it ever were to come back as it would take me to start over with a more dependable app.

Disaster!

After almost a year waiting here is finally the update for iOS 9... And it does not work!!! It wiped out all my data, and there is no way to sync from my Mac. It stalls at each attempt...
